Holiday Basketball Camp FAQ
Below you’ll find answers to the questions we get asked the most about Chase Basketball holiday basketball camps.
All campers are to wear non-marking basketball runners, shorts, and/or tracksuit pants. Each camper will receive a Chase Basketball camp t-shirt that must be worn at all times to assist with our player identification.
YES. All children are to bring their own lunch, snacks and drink bottles. Please advise our administrators if your child has a food or other allergy. Children are encouraged to bring healthy, low fat/sugar options for lunch/snacks. Water is the preferred drink at camps.
MSAC is the only Chase venue with canteen facilities. Should your child need to access the cafeteria to purchase lunch, a supervised group will be formed comes lunchtime and will head to the cafeteria.
A registration table will be located in the foyer of the basketball courts. Please sign-in at the registration table prior to accessing the courts. A Chase Basketball tee-shirt and basketball will be given to you then.
Lunch starts at 12pm and finishes at 1pm.
Campers MUST be collected by a parent/guardian at 2:00 p.m. A fee may be applied should children need to be supervised due to late collection.
In most cases camps are conducted with a 1:10 – 12 staff to campers ratio. All children are instructed at the commencement of the camp, and reminded throughout the duration of camp that:
They are not permitted to leave the basketball court area unless notifying a member of our staff.
All children are to go to the toilet in pairs; younger children where possible will be escorted to the toilet.
Campers are grouped according to their age or ability and if a friendship group is expressed prior to the commencement of the camp. Once a child is assessed by our experienced coaching staff, they can place in a more appropriate standard if required.
All medical conditions need to be recorded on the camp registration form (Additional Information section) and must be documented with camp staff. Parents who will be leaving their child in the supervision of the camp staff are required to provide full medical plans and a listing of necessary medications. Medications should be fully labelled with complete instructions on dose etc.
Participants who intend to register as a member of a team (four or more players) need to make mention of their team name on on the camp registration form (Additional Information section) so that the team members can be grouped together.
Yes! Two or more members of the same household will attract a $10 discount on the 2nd and subsequent applications for a two day camp, and a $5 discount on the 2nd and subsequent applications for a two day camp. Each participant need to be registered online and the discount will be applied via a coupon code to be applied at checkout.
Refunds are available in accordance to the rules below:
- In cases of injury or illness (accompanied by a doctor’s certificate) – 100%
- In cases of bereavement – 100%
- Notification schedule:
- Notification within 24hours – NO REFUND
- Notification 7 days – 50%
- Notification 14+ days – full refund
- Refunds are not considered for:
- “I’m tired”
- “I’m sore from training”
- “I don’t like it”
- “I want to go the pool”
- “I’m no good”
