Below is a message from Chase Basketball’s managing director, Nigel Purchase, in regards to the recent Covid-19 restrictions.
The Chase Basketball team hope that our basketball family are doing as well as they can during this interesting and challenging time. Our staff and coaches truly miss being on-court with you all and we look forward to the time when we can enjoy our great sport with you again.
Chase Management are planning for the COVID NORMAL BASKETBALL (CNB) time where the rules of the government are adhered to and we have established ways in which we can safely bring the brilliant sport of basketball back to you.
Here is an insight into our Post Covid “CNB” Programs which are all based on adhering to any updated and relevant government restrictions:
Outdoor Individuals and small group training (Estimated Late September)
Outdoor Group Trainings (10+) (Estimated October)
Indoor School Academy trainings (Estimated November)
Indoor Camps/Competitions/Academy (Estimated December)
In addition, our strategy for initial trainings include: –
- Low impact fitness and skill re-acquisition (a way to safely return to pre-Covid fitness levels without stress and injury)
- Strength acquisition
- Modified sessions to meet government rules and regulations. i.e non-contact, shortened trainings, capped group numbers, one-ball-one-player etc.
The Chase Basketball team anticipate a great summer of basketball ahead and remain excited and positive about the return to our sport. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy and keep an eye on Chase news for the release of our CNB (Covid Normal Basketball) programs.
